About Job:

Engagement of Graduates in Engineering/Graduates in Degree/Diploma Apprentice Trainee as per the Apprentice Act, 1961 / Apprentices Amendment Act, 1973 (as amended from time to time).

With reference to the subject cited above, New Mangalore Port Authority, Panambur invites applications from Graduates in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Computer Science), Graduates in Degree (B.Com & B.A), and Diploma holders in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, and Diploma in Commercial Practice passed out in the year 2020-2021, 2021-22 & 2022-23 for engagement as Graduate/Diploma Apprentice Trainees for a period of one year as per the provisions of the Apprentice Act 1961/Apprentice Amendment Act, 1973 (as amended from time to time).

Qualification:

Diploma (Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Commercial Practice), Graduate (Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Computer Science), Graduate in B.Com / B.A are eligible

Stipend:

8,000/- to 9,000/-

Eligibility Requirement:

• Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination in the year 2020-2021, 2021-22 & 2022-23 will be considered.
• Candidates who are appearing at the qualifying exam/awaiting result of the qualifying exam/who do not have ‘mark sheets and degree/diploma certificate (either provisional or final) are not eligible for applying.
• Candidates who have been engaged previously as an apprentice or are undergoing apprenticeship training at NMP or elsewhere under the Apprentices Act, 1961/Apprentice Amendment Act 1973 are not eligible.
• All the qualifications specified above should be recognized by the Board of Technical Education.

Other Terms and Conditions:

The engagement as an apprentice will be purely for training for one year and upon completion of one year, NMP does not give any commitment on providing permanent or temporary employment to apprentices on successful completion of the training period.

The application may be filled by the eligible candidates in the prescribed format and should be addressed to the Secretary, Administration Department, NMP, Panambur on or before 28.03.2024.
