Applications are invited from Indian Nationals only for Project Positions as per the details given below, for a research project, under the principal investigator Dr. S. Jaya Nirmala, Assistant Professor, Department of CSE in the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli-15, Tamil Nadu.

Title of the Project: Predictive Coding for the Identification of Ratio Decidendi in Indian Judicial Decisions
Funding Agency for the Project: Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB)
Project Positions and Number: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/Project Associate I/ Project Associate II and 1 Vacancy
Essential Qualifications:
- JRF: M.E/M.Tech or M.E/M.Tech with First class in Computer Science & Engineering / Information Technology / Equivalent with minimum 60% or 6.5 CGPA from a recognized university / institute with valid GATE score
- Project Associate – II: B.E/B.Tech or M.E./ M.Tech. with First class in Computer Science & Engineering / Information Technology / Equivalent with minimum 60% or 6.5 CGPA from a recognized university / institute and 2 years experience in Research and Development in industrial or academic institutions
- Project Associate – I: B.E/B.Tech or M.E./ M.Tech. with First class in Computer Science & Engineering / Information Technology / Equivalent with minimum 60% or 6.5 CGPA from a recognized university / institute
Emoluments:
- For GATE qualified Candidates:
- Junior Research Fellow - Rs. 31,000/- + 16% HRA
- For Non-GATE Qualified Candidates:
- Project Associate II – Rs.28,000/- + 16% HRA
- Project Associate I – Rs.25,000/- + 16% HRA
Duration: 36 months (maximum), [This temporary position is initially for 12 months and is extendable only for the duration of the project subject to satisfactory performance.]
Job Description:
- To execute the research work detailed in the entitled project
- Compilation of the results
- Report preparation and presentation
- The selected candidates will be permitted to register for the Ph.D. program as per NITT rules and regulations

- Candidates before appearing for the interview shall ensure that they are eligible for the position they intend to apply for.
