- Detailed Educational Qualifications, Experience, and Other Criteria: The criteria for selection shall be as per the modified recruitment rules for Faculty in NITs as per schedule E of the first statutes of the NITs (amendment statutes 2017) issued vide Gazette of India No. 651 dated 24th July 2017, and clarification issued by the Ministry of Education Dated: 16th April 2019.
- Flexible Faculty Structure: This advertisement is governed by the Flexible Faculty Structure. Relevant instructions from the Ministry of Education (Government of India) issued till the date of the interview will be applicable.
- Vacancy Movement: For Departments without vacancies, movement in higher academic grade pay or cadre will be carried out as per the specified selection process, but it will be restricted to serving faculty members of respective departments of NIT Puducherry.
- Application Process: Candidates need to fill the online application at https://nitpyrec.samarth.edu.in along with necessary enclosures.
- Application Fee: A non-refundable application fee of Rs. 1,000/- for UR/OBC/EWS should be paid online through https://nitpyrec.samarth.edu.in/. SC/ST/PWD/Female candidates are exempted from paying the fee.
- Multiple Applications: If a candidate is applying for more than one post, separate applications along with the Application Fee are to be submitted for each post separately, failing which the application will be rejected.
- Shortlisting Criteria: Mere fulfillment of minimum qualifications and experience does not entitle any candidate to receive a call letter for selection. The Institute reserves the right to set higher norms for scrutiny than the minimum prescribed for the post.
- Selection Process: Selection will be done in two phases. The first phase involves a technical seminar in the area of specialization in the respective department, followed by an interview by the duly constituted Selection Board.
- Reservation Policy: Reservation policy for faculty positions will be applicable as per the directives of the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
