Advertisement for the post of Associate Engineer – I (SB D1 grade) on permanent rolls of Tata Steel Limited (Meramandali Unit)

Tata Steel Limited (Meramandali Unit) is inviting applications from enthusiastic candidates interested in joining on permanent rolls. The selected candidates will be stationed at Meramandali, Odisha.

Minimum Educational Qualification:

• Three (3) years full-time diploma in Metallurgy/Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation/Engineering from any institute recognized by AICTE.
• Diploma holders in the above disciplines from R D Tata Technical Education Centre, Jamshedpur, and J N Tata Technical Education Centre, Gopalpur, are also eligible to apply.
• Candidates with Part-Time/Correspondence/Distance Learning qualifications will not be considered.

Mandatory Experience:

• Minimum three (3) years of relevant work experience (excluding apprenticeship period), preferably in a Steel Plant as of 1st Feb ’24 post acquiring the Diploma qualification.

Marks:

• Minimum 55% marks aggregate in Diploma Engineering for General Candidates.
• Minimum 50% marks aggregate in Diploma Engineering for SC/ST Candidates.

Age:

• General/OBC candidates should have been born on or after 1st Feb 1992 and before 1st Feb 2006.
• SC/ST candidates should have been born on or after 1st Feb 1989 and before 1st Feb 2006.

Emoluments:

• Starting Basic Salary of Rs.17,530/- pm with CTC of Rs 5.77 LPA in the grade of SB D1. Additional compensation will be provided for candidates with four years or more of relevant experience.

Selection Procedure/Other Guidelines:

• Written Test and Interview process; each stage will be an elimination stage.
• Candidates currently employed with Tata Group Company/Subsidiaries/Associate Company require an NOC from the present employer before consideration.
• Medical fitness and Background Verification are mandatory.
• No reimbursement for travel.
• Candidates found ineligible at any stage will be disqualified.
• Canvassing in any form is prohibited.

Placement:

• Candidates will be placed based on vacancies, qualification, and skill.
• Placement or transfer may occur within Tata Steel or its group companies or subsidiaries during employment.
