Job Description:
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on dies to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Inspect and assess dies for wear, damage, or other issues, and schedule repairs or replacements as needed.
- Collaborate with the tool room team and production personnel to troubleshoot die-related problems and implement effective solutions.
- Analyze die performance and identify opportunities for improvement in terms of quality, efficiency, and productivity.
- Conduct trials and tests to validate the effectiveness of die improvements and document the results for future reference.
- Maintain accurate records of die maintenance activities and generate reports on die performance and maintenance costs.
- Experience in composite tooling design and fabrication.
- Manage outside vendors with on-time and on-budget delivery of tooling components when required.
- Ability to perform tolerance stack-up analysis and full understanding of GD&T.
- Develop innovative solutions for component fabrication and assembly using proven composite bonding and fastening techniques.
- Support all first article inspection requirements for tooling, prototyping, and PPAP events as part of the design lifecycle.
