DRDO- Gas Turbine Research Establishment (GTRE) Apprenticeship Training opportunities

Under the provisions of The Apprentices Act, 1961, Director, Gas Turbine Research Establishment (GTRE), Bengaluru invites online applications from eligible candidates for the following Apprenticeship Training opportunities for the Financial Year 2024-25:

Graduate Apprentice Trainees - Engineering

Vacancies in following disciplines

• Mechanical/Production/Industrial Production Engg.
• Aeronautical/Aerospace Engg
• Electricals & Electronics/Electronics & Communication/Electronics & Instrumentation/Telecom Engg.
• Computer Science/Computer Engg./Information Science & Technology Engg.
• Metallurgy/Material science
• Civil Engg. or Equivalent
  
  Minimum Qualification: Degree in Engineering or Technology in concerned discipline

Graduate Apprentice Trainees - Non Engineering

• B.Com.
• B.A.

Minimum Qualification: Degree from a statutory University/institution Govt.

Diploma Apprentice Trainees

• Mechanical/Production/Tool & Die design
• Electrical & Electronics/Electronics & Communication/Electronics & Instrumentation
• Computer Science/Engg/Computer Networking

Minimum Qualification: Diploma in Engineering or Technology

ITI Apprentice Trainees

• Machinist
• Fitter
• Turner or Electrician
• COPA

Minimum Qualification: Certificate in vocational course

Stipend:

Candidates finally selected for the Apprenticeship Training would be eligible for stipend as per Govt. of India rules:

• Engineering Stream:
  • Graduate Apprentice (B.E./B.Tech./Equivalent): Rs. 9000/- per month
  • Diploma Apprentice: Rs. 8000/- per month
  • ITI Apprentice: Rs. 7000/- per month
• Non-Engineering - General Stream:
  • Graduate Apprentice (B.Com./B.Sc./B.A/BCA/BBA): Rs. 9000/- per month

Part - 4 Selection Process:

1. selection of candidates will be carried out by short listing on the basis of Academic Merit/Written Test/Interview as may be required, subject to satisfactory verification of the documents.
2. Details of shortlisted candidates will be published on the DRDO website. Candidates are advised to check regularly for updates.

Part - 5 How to Apply:

1. Applications are to be submitted online through the following website/link: rac.gov.in or drdo.gov.in ('What's New' section).
2. Candidates are requested to fill up correct details against all the fields along with uploading of scanned copies of all the mandatory documents (as per list).
3. The marks obtained in the qualifying exam are to be mentioned in percentage. In case of CGPA, candidates are requested to convert the CGPA into percentage as per their university norms, and the same will be verified during document verification.
4. Candidates are required to bring a signed printout of the application along with the originals of the documents submitted online at the time of joining at GTRE, Bengaluru.
5. Online Applications after the last date would NOT be accepted. Incomplete or partially filled application forms would not be accepted.

Part - 7 Important Dates:

• Commencement of online applications: 21st March 2024
• Last date of submission of online application forms duly completed in all respects: 9th April 2024
• Probable date of Publishing First list of shortlisted candidates for any interview/written test on DRDO website: 23rd April 2024
• Probable date of Acceptance by candidates to join GTRE as Apprenticeship Trainee: 2nd May 2024
• Probable date of Interaction with the shortlisted candidates who have submitted acceptance to join: 9th May 2024 onwards
• Probable date of declaration of finally selected candidates: 16th May 2024
• Probable date of joining Apprenticeship Trainees at GTRE: 27th May 2024 onwards
