Examination Format
- Structure: JEE Main consists of Paper 1 (for B.E./B.Tech courses) and Paper 2 (for B.Arch/B.Planning courses).
- Subjects: Paper 1 includes questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Paper 2 includes Mathematics, Aptitude Test, and Drawing Test (for B.Arch).
- Duration: Paper 1 is conducted for three hours, and Paper 2 has varying durations depending on the specific course.
- Marking Scheme: Correct answers in Paper 1 and Paper 2 (Mathematics and Aptitude Test) earn four marks each, with negative marking for incorrect answers.
Eligibility Criteria
- Age Limit: Candidates must have been born on or after October 1, 1999. Relaxation is provided for certain categories.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational Subject.
